Yesterday I ended up working the late turn at Welton Level Crossing! This is where I worked when I first went on the operational side of the railway. It's a place I'm very fond of as it marked a new start after VolkerRail had made mass redundancies.

At Gilberdyke I don't deal with the public much aside the user worked crossings and then it tends to be a small select bunch who use them! So it was quite entertaining at times yesterday!

I did have this from a motorist waiting at the crossing.
"Oi! What am I waiting for?!" He shouted.
"There's a train coming," I politely reply.
"There's a what coming?!"
"A train!"
"So there's a train coming?"
Why else would people think they were waiting at a level crossing?!
